These guys would be one of my favorite bands if it weren't for the last few years

I know it's sacrilege to say this, but I've always preferred Mystics to Yoshimi. While it doesn't come together as well as the latter, Mystics has higher highs, and probably my favorite ever Lips song (Sound of Failure.)

Embryonic, because making your album sound like better, more obscure artists counts as creativity, and because songwriting/instrumentation/anything else that would make you want to listen to music don't matter as long as you sound hip. The entirety of Embryonic is based off exactly two styles of songs, which are repeated and alternated ad nauseam.
