this man needs a more, look what he've done

Did the original sound like grunge?
>>70339805
Over-saturation I think. The 80s were a bloodbath of shredders and not many came out of it alive outside of the slashes and EVH's of the time. Definitely deserves more props though.
Speaking of underrated 80s guys though, Steve Stevens is a beast.

>"flamenco solo"
>playing with a pick
>not even in flamenco for more than 3 seconds at a time
why metalfags
>>70339926
He has entire albums of flamenco stuff, he uses his fingers for a lot of it, but it's more "flamenco influenced" than flamenco.

Yngwie?
>>70340029
Does he at least syncopate his rhythms a little in these albums?
>>70340095
Off and on. They're worth checking out though, he can definitely play.

Yngwie memesteen is praised as a guitar god by every 2nd/3rd year of playing guitarist though. I feel like the people shitting on him are right, covering classical music doesn't make you a good guitarist, all his songs sound the same. He's like the shredder version of AC/DC.

>Yngwie memesteen is praised as a guitar god
Is he? This may have been true at some point, but I've always known him as the otherwise unremarkable dude who plays neoclassical really fast.
looks like he plays shitty guitar wank

I mean by the teenagers who are learning guitar and find his youtube videos. Not by actual guitarists. Your assessment is completely accurate though.
