ladz what is the speaker equivalent of these

i just want something that's relatively cheap and comes highly recommended as an entry level bit of kit that i can plug straight into my laptop and don't have to get bogged down in all the audiophile nonsense

Overpriced as fuck, it's like $900 where I live
Check these out :
UE boom - loud and overall balanced
Bose soundlink 2/3 - I own soundlink mini 2,
they aren't that loud, great quality though, nice bass
Marshall stockwell/Stanmore - cousin owns one of these, great treble delivery, sexy retro look, pretty good

<<<Probably cost about like 80 total.

Speakers go into Lepai amp, tiny amp goes into laptop. Receive music.

make sure to get the updated mb42x though, as the originals don't have a proper crossover
same price

And as an alternative to the MB42x, these are good/great for the price.

I didn't reread his review, but if memory serves, they measured better than the Miccas.

They often go on sale for like 30 bucks.

I don't think anyone replied to your question. I think the speaker equivalent would be the KRK Rokit5

ladz all i'm getting here is that there is no equivalent, cuz m50s usually get a consensus approval among headphone geeks and you lot are throwing all kinds of different shit at me
>>

There's a lot more speaker options than headphone options, which why this isn't a cut-and-dry recommendation. Anyhow, I'll give it a shot:

Budget:

50.00-100.00 - hunt for used/vintage gear or Micca MB42xs, Insignia NSSP-213s, Pioneer BS22s plus cheap amp.

100.00-250.00

Used/vintage or Elac Debut 4" plus Lepai amp.

200.00-400.00

JBL LSR305s. At this price range, these are pretty much universally recommended. Other popular recs are usually ELAC B6s and speakers from the Infinity Primus line.

Hope this helps.
