/mu/'s opinion on Rage against the machine and their lead singer Zack de la rocha?
they arent the greatest and pretty sure they are quite hypocritical at times (Tom mostly) but I've always found there albums to be pretty solid. That being said Zack's work under One Day As a Lion is probably better than anything he did in rage
I think their music is pretty gud, but the 'hip anarchist cool underground rebel' meme died long ago, and it's quite frankly pathetic to see people of their ilk and biafras constantly rearing their heads on pet issues like old men who don't understand how the world works.
No band has ever surpassed how well they fused hard rock and hip hop
Evil Empire>S/T imo, that's where Tom's guitar playing really came into its own
My favorite mexican american vocalist desu
The s/t still blows me away. Imagine being 15/16 when that dropped holy shit. One of the greatest hard rock releases ever.
Bulls on Parade is probably their best song though. Supposedly #87 single of 1996 according to RYM. Get tae fuck.
