I have to say though I also enjoy the bands you listed, I even have an original Ash Borer demo on vinyl.
But I also enjoy Agalloch.

I just think agalloch feels like it's doing too many things, and it's all done in the most shallow ways. Whereas panopticon's music has weight to it, as in they have a goal with their music and accomplish that, Agalloch just feels like they're just grazing by some ideas and recycles it into an easy to digest package. It's true posuercore basically.
