I'm one of those faggots that hates modern music. Can anyone recommend me some newer prog rock music? I want to start listening to modern prog, but honestly the stuff I've listened to has been pretty shit compared to the 70s golden age stuff.
P.S. I already know I'm an enormous faggot
Thanks.

Kind of like indie prog, heavy on the concept albums, more focused on narrative and variety than on the symphonic/extended pieces more common in the 70s. But the arrangements are amazing.

I really like the instrumentation of this song, it's just the vocals that kill it for me. Great song otherwise, thanks for sharing!
Can't contribute but I thought that was Noel Fielding as I scrolled past.
ELP is great. RIP.
here's an example of what I really like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyEnbwvW2MU

Good music never gets old.and there's lots of it thank god for that
Prog rock is fucking horrendous in general with an exception of a few albums, Gentle Giant, Canterbury scene, Gryphon etc.
But modern prog is just 100% awful

>Gentle Giant Gryphon
Just admit you just only like medieval music and be done with it

I do, and the comfy canterbury
Youre probably not going to find that much good modern prog , you should just dig deeper into the 70s for that good stuff
People dont give a fuck enough anymore to make progressive rock
Give this a listen though you might like it, its from 2013 but its straight up 70s worship

Rock isn't dead, it's represented today by fedoracore bands like Tame Impala. If you were expecting rock to still look like 1975, you'd be disappointed.

listem to something else than rock

I haven't listened to the last 2 albums, I've just heard they're good. Winterthrough is probably not höstsonaten's strongest release, but it's the only one i've listened to recently.

tame impala is for people that actually get laid. far from fedoracore friend :(
