How can I become as good as James Ferraro?I'm absolutely serious. He always makes really interesting AND good stuff(without counting hs3 of course) and I'm just amazed how he always do it.
smoke weed and buy a YA MA HA
really though just write a bunch of stuff and see what sticks. james has a ton of material and some of it has never even been released. he's just constantly working.

imagine what inspires the project then record it until it somewhat sounds like it and release it

Why don't you like Human Story 3? The mixture of corporate music and samples from children's movies(?) was pretty well-executed IMO
Spoiler: I haven't heard anything else he's made

HS3 is ok but it's far from his best. If you liked it you'll definitely dig a lot of his other stuff.
Far Side Virtual, Night Dolls, Condo Pets EP for the "aesthetic" stuff.
NYC Hell 3:00 AM and Skid Row for something a little darker and different
Then there are the lo-fi works. Last American Hero and iAsia are my favorites of this bunch.

>be in our 20s during the early 2000s
>Be a trust fund faggot

Yeah, I find it really weird that this is his most well received release
I think it has something to do with videogames and the nostalgia factor, unfortunately
>>70119884
nah its just really fucking good ambient. im a huge jf fan and thats still one of his best releases. its like a quick adventure in music form.
>>70119937

What makes ferraro great is that hes innovative. There are many artists who are good at replicating the kind of stuff he does, but they cant be called great.
