Honestly Apple devices are your best bet. But be careful with volume please. Tinnitus is a horrible thing to suffer through.

you can either plug apeakers directly in through the headphone jack like a GoGroove Robot or whatever its called or you can use bluetooth which is probably already installed on your phone. Then you can basically run it through a stereo system as I understand it but apparently the fidelity can be affected using bluetooth. I havent tried either of these myself.

Yeah I'm careful, I'm not blasting music at insane volumes, but my phone's max volume is really shit. Just one or two more levels would do, I have an old mp3 which I'm happy with and I don't even listen at max volume.

Phones themselves are quite uncomfortable for me, I hate picking them up for some reason but they are really necessary nowadays, so I have to use them. I must sound like a fucking hipster.

Sennheisers, wouldn't trade them for anything. Besides, they work just fine with several mp3s I used all these years, the phone is the problem. I would have to change phone maybe, but I'd rather buy a portable music player for reasons I've mentioned
