Alex's solo is amazing in that especially when it's accompanied by Neil's drumming.

I would pick Steve Vai's For The Love of God though. I get so many emotions listening to the solo.

Or

Funkadelic's Maggot Brain off of One Nation Under A Groove. Simple yet emotional.

I really like this one a lot (Skip to 4:50 for solo):

Also the extended sweep picking section on this song puts chills down my spine:

The one at the end of I Can't Give Everything Away

This one plays through the whole first part of the song, but still feels kind of lonesome

Really love this solo

I wonder how much of it is structured by Omar and how much improvised by John. Either way I feel like the solo captures the mood of the song.

Great choice, as far as Lifeson solos go, the only one I know to be more emotional is his solo in part 6 of 2112 (Soliloquy).

Other great ones I've heard are Buckhead's solo from The Embalmer at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2011 and Jason Becker's Blue and Altitudes.

Always loved the solo in Clap Hands, bluesy and always on the verge of falling apart. The guitar playing on this album in general is full of personality
