More appetizing than you'd expect--new lyricist Robert W. Palmer-Jones and new vocalist John Wetton add roughage to the recipe. But it's still the instrumental stuff that's worth savoring, and not only doesn't it cook, which figures, it doesn't quite jell either. B-

almost every kc albums from 69-95 is great
Wetton's vocals are so fucking bad on that album. Don't get me wrong - those songs are still incredible. I just have to listen to live versions because I can't stand Wetton's awful yelping on that album.
My favorite KC is The Night Watch, because not only do you get the instrumentals from SABB - you also get songs from Larks' tongues with decent singing.
