6 full length albums. I know and I agree but to me this song is really good that I don't mind listening to 120 other slightly different variations, kinda like The Smiths. It's just my comfort zone I think

They have vastly different atmospheres imo. Beach House is like moodily staring out into the ocean at night while Cocteau Twins is like walking into a gorgeous ice cavern and seeing moths frozen in the walls.

fair enough, for some reason the only BH album I can listen to front to back is Bloom, the rest bore the hell out of me and I've been trying to figure out what they did differently with that album

Bloom is defintely their "heaviest" album musically, they took the style they were cultivating to that point and turned the knob all the way to 10 on the depth scale

their sound is a lot more lo-fi than BH but you should check out Parker & Lily's albums if you haven't already
