Yeah, there are a few things that you want to look for when buying a turntable including a full platter to completely support the record, a counterweight to adjust tracking force, and a standard mount for cartridges. Most Crosleys have none of these.

Fucking hell, if you think spending a mere few hundred on a decent turntable is too much what the fuck are you even doing getting into an expensive format like vinyl in the first place?

I got into vinyl in June and found a good condition, fully working Technics SL-BD20 for $95AU, got a new elliptical stylus (stock is conical to my knowledge) for $31. It's not high end or anything but it sounds good, low tracking force and has a reputation for being reliable. Pretty fappy, senpai.

I got this old one for Christmas, but it's a bit weird. Sometimes the music jumps over several seconds time after time with some records, and others it will play just fine (except some noise from the right speaker which im guessing is just because its old and may be worn out) but what could be the problem if the song loops over and over again, or keep skipping parts? i'm a big noob at this
