Thinking on getting an AT-LP 120. I'm on a budget so there's that. Any advice on it? Is it worth it? I heard it is almost as good as a Technics.

It's the most commonly reccomended player if you're on a budget and are just getting into vinyl. Just buy it and quit making shit threads.
>>
>>69855196
yeah no shit genius, I wanted to know more detailed and specific things not the "xddDd it's pretty entry-level and ok for your budget" because I fucking know that

quit making snarky replies if you are not going to help

I got an AT-LP60 for christmas, is it really that bad or is it fine. I haven't played anything on it yet.
>>
If you are on a budget collecting vinyl is not for you
>>
I have one. Not really a vinyl nerd but it has a good build and does pretty much anything that you would want it to do lol
>>

I'm on a budget because the AT-LP 120 is expensive af in my country. Technics is like double the price of the 120 here. I can deal pretty easily with vinyl because I have a steady job, but my vintage Sanyo called it quits so I guess I'm trying to make sure I pick the right turntable for a decent price.

it's on the "better than a Crosley but it's not that good" level
>>
>>69855324
Will it fuck up my vinyls tho?
>>
>>69855259
it's not expensive... go to a real record store and get classics for 5-8 dollars
>>
>>69855426
not as much as a Crosley, but it will eventually because of the lack of anti-skating and balance
>>
>>69854852
I have no issues with mine. I say get one, especially if you're just starting out. Wouldn't wanna spend a ridiculous amount on something and find out youre not into it.

How much does a 1200 mk2 sell for? Ebay and amazon prices are all over the place.

Well it LOOKS like an SL1200 but
>>
>>69855257
you need a counterweight
>>
>>69855257
i got it
it's okay, but it has a slight speed issue (playing a tad bit faster than normal)
>>
>>69856123
The LP60 is perfectly counterbalanced out of the box. You can only get one replacement cartridge for it so adjustable counterweight isn't needed.
>>
Have you looked into orbit turntables? Belt driven, but pretty high quality non-dj table for not much. I'd check those out for a TT that sounds good and looks good.
>>

>Belt driven
People always mention this like it's a bad thing. Pretty much every audiophile-level turntable is belt-driven. As long as the turntable has a quality motor and the belt is in a good state of repair there are zero issues.
