Let's face it, for a while there Oasis were absolute, undeniable gods among men.

Oasis are criminally underrated. Beady Eye wasn't half bad either.
i'm very fond of oasis. they were the last truly mythological rock band.

>Oasis are criminally underrated
>released several critically acclaimed albums
>broke a number of records when it came to album sales and concert attendances
>spent a good chunk of the 90s as the biggest band in the world
>after that had to settle for merely being the biggest band in the UK and europe
>widely perceived as a generation-defining band
oasis is one of the least underrated bands i can think of

even be here now has been getting some critical reconsideration in the wake of the recent reissue
Rush at peak v Oasis at peak v Floyd at peak
Each releases an album at the same time
Who's is better?
Who's gets better reviews?
Who's sells most?
Barman said they're bigger than the Beatles
Liam is peng

The reissue was phenomenal.
Noel's rethink of D'you Know What I Mean is ridiculously good.

Not really. They always came across as some geezers that stormed it. Bonehead's tfi friday piano solo pretty much refutes any god-like status. Also they just about got through 3 albums before losing the plot and even they were more singles collections. Basically they are a bit of a life raft for BBC djs to say 'we were there' and more than a bit unhealthy , Jo Whiley-core (Steve lamaq etc.)
Beady eye was better than a lot of oasis

> Beady eye was better than a lot of oasis
I loved Beady Eye and all but it was still basically just oasis without noel.
