Dear /mu/,
I've decided to print out a mosaic of what are considered the "magnum opuses" of various mediums, to my Aunt, because she doesn't like me buying her a gift, and she would like something I don't have to spend money on, and we both enjoy works of fiction/semi-fiction created by others.
Thing is, I don't know if it's going to be one with either just:
>books, films, albums
>books, films, albums, videogames
>books, films, albums, TV shows, videogames
And I've been kind of debating it for a while. I would like it to be book/film/album/videogame, but I know that videogames have not had the respect of their contemporaries, and are often dismissed for being too new of a medium.
Which one should I go with?
These moasics are almost always used for trolling, and you took them seriously.

>magnum opuses
>Pick a pop album for music
Why not Beethoven's Symphonies Nos 5 & 7 or Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelung?
A Love Supreme or Kind Of Blue?
Or even classic traditional folk?
These are just basic stuff yet they're better than Pet Sounds.
And even if you were to pick a more popular album. At least pick something like The Velvet Underground And Nico.

>in search of lost time
>pet sounds
>tetris

Because it's clearly about albums, not music in general.

Tetris is baby level puzzle game.
>b-but muh simplism
Doesn't make it superior to anything else.

>classical babies
Citizen Kane is a good movie but anything by Bergman or Tarkovsky does everything it does with more nuance and incorporate formalist techniques showcasing all of the strengths of film as an art form.

I chiefly browse /lit/ (as you could probably tell already) and would add that Infinite Jest is the absolutex2 best book out there. xxx

I think video games can be art, but I don't know if I'd consider Tetris as art. It comes off purely as a game. Like chess or something.
Super metroid. Jellyfish spilt milk. >books. And
Alien. There you go
