I'm going to school for audio engineering and the more I learn the more confused this album makes me. I use to think it was mixed awfully, but I just realized it's actually not a bad job, but there are some really bizarre and sometimes seemingly random decisions in the mix that makes it sounds the way it does. I still can't decide if the person who mixed it knew what they were doing and was trying to go for some really weird aesthetic and made some bizarre so-so choices or if they had no idea what they were doing and accidentally did a lot of stuff well.
