yeah, now I sort of prefer his solo work/late vdgg because those tread closer to genres I like now but there's a raw experimental quality to Pawn Hearts that isn't in any of their other albums, I can't quite place my finger on it, it's by far their best album as a group in their prime, Still Life is really up there too.
