Fantano is dead, Oliver is /ourguy/ now
you do know that comparing anything to the local meme is leaving it open to shitposting right
ran into this guy this week because of the youtube algorithm change, his guides seem pretty alright if you're just getting into music. hopefully /mu/ kiddies don't catch on and entice him into making meme bullshit like they always do (see frankjavcee)

/mu/'s pretty much dead, they can't change Oliver's content
>>69589069
I'm ok with this

I'm more than ok with this. This channel is comfier that memetano at the moment
THIS. finally somebody to show the fucking rotten melon how its done
how can you make a music channel having such bland taste
>>69591483
By havong the personality to present your taste properly
In music criticism, taste is subjective. It's in the critic's personality, how he expresses his opinion on the music, that's where the critic is defined.
Fantano just spouts endless memes now, having lost the depth of his old self. He panders to the preteen-teen meme crowd, with countless memes, sub-standard hip-hop reviews, and a sense of humor only someone with ADD would like.
I'd dare say Oliver has the potential to be better than Fantano at his prime
>watching video reviews of an unvisual medium
>watching video reviews of anything
>watching videos on youtube
>>69589623
yeah, i can see myself alternating between both

It looks like a good place for kids to explore music I guess but I'm pretty sure everyone on /mu/ has already heard all those albums
Shit, I completely forgot about this guy. I remember back when he posted that post-rock video right around when he was just starting out.
Good to see he's still active.
