this album basically proves 2 things:
1 - lyrics are the most important part of music for a regular listener
2 - everything around music is more important than the actual music for a regular listener
those two things just enhanced the album, it was received fairly well even before we knew that he's about to die
lyrics are merely the cherry on top friend

this album proves the opposite

But it's the most musically interesting album Bowie's done since Outside

1 - I didn't even really pay attention to the lyrics and still loved the album
2 - I already loved the album before he died
Fuck off already

>2 - everything around music is more important than the actual music for a regular listener

I HAVE NEVER CARED ABOUT ANYTHING MORE IN MY LIFE
MAY GOD STRIKE ME DEAD IF I TELL A LIE
>>69574771
regular listeners couldnt have a rats ass about lyrics
>>69574987
what does a """"regular listener""" thing is most important when proving something like this? can we actually say with 100% certainty that an artist's death has no influence on what we think about it if it's released after? What if were just fooling ourselves?
But loads of people thought it was fucking fantastic before he died.
You did listen to it before he died right? I mean you're not that much of a pleb?
>>69575493
i've listened to it before he died, and i honestly thought it was just enjoyable
Just fucking fuck off with David Memewie already.
>>69575562
Just fuck off with "Memewie" already.

points are being made
I listened to some of the tracks he dropped before he smacked it and I thought they were really genuinely good.
Vocals* are the more important of music, not just lyrics.

Yeah but it wasn't until after he died that people started saying "10/10!! AOTY!!"
