i like it well enough, cedric can still do the style i see.

There's always gonna be comparisons to older work, but it's a pretty solid song. looking forward to see what else they have cooked up.

It's OK. Cedric's old voice is back, but he's almost playing a caricature of himself lyrically. Guitar playing is pretty nice. Production is much better than on RoC.

Will get the album and see them when they tour again, but much more excited for the inevitable Mars Volta return in a few years

Parts of it remind me of Fugazi, but as a whole it sounds like a new Antemasque song.

They had a 30 second teaser on their website which I thought was fuckin' killer. I hope they take it in that direction, though I doubt they'll ever top any of their previous releases.

Cedric is one of the only artists I follow on social media. I saw him reply to a comment on Instagram or Twitter about if a Mars Volta reunion was coming and he effectively said that it's all part of the plan, but the next few years will be focused on At the Drive-In. I don't have a link, though

Also, in general just following Omar and Cedric for over a decade now it seems likely. Mars Volta was, creatively, their band and they only ever broke up because of a rift between them which is obviously settled now.
