Hey /mu/, can I get some electronic drumkit recommendations? Preferable something on the cheaper side, like $200-$300 range.
Other than that, how about a general drum shit thread? My kit is pic related.
Bump. Also forgot to add, my kit is a Gretsch Catalina Jazz Kit. What drum stuff are y'all trying to score for Christmas??

Are you ok with a drum pad? Cause I've been using a really good one for years called the SPD 30.

mm 200-300 is going to get a pretty shit electric kit, id recommend putting 1000 in and getting a good it that will do what you want it to, as well as lasting longer than a year.
Look into the alesis forges, or possibly a middle range roland. Would recommend a yamaha, they're pretty average.

Alesis has the shittiest customer support, took em 2 months just to get my crimson mesh kit, then it broke in 3 days, and I'm a pretty light player

Also, here's my setup.
>Mapex Armoury 6 piece
>Zildjian K Custom Hybrid hi-hat
>Ziljian A fast 18" crash, Zildjian Z splash, Sabian Artisan 16" crash and a Sabian HH Pandora 22" ride.
Couple of shitty cowbells I rarely use. Good heavy rock sound, but I'm gonna get a rocky'er ride to complete the sound, the HH is a bit jazzy for the kits these days.

Yea I don't think there's going to anything rec-worthy in that range **if** you can find anything.
Be prepared to spend at least 7-800 for used and 1200+ for new

customer support used to be rubbish yes, I had the same problem, but they've revamped themselves, and the forge is a hardware reflection of that. They've done well in turning around and making quality products.

I'm going for a drumkit as opposed to a pad, because with an ekit I can practice mobility and such.
>>69528088
I'll take that into account. Do you use an ekit, and if so which one? Any complaints about it?
Bloke in the pub said jazz drummers shouldn't use a snare
