It sounds unfinished. Very little cohesion between songs, no central idea. Like four of the songs are worth listening to, and Kanye clearly didn't stay wavy while writing this crap.

Way too much questionable shit. Low Lights, Silver Surfer Intermission, and the last half of 30 Hours added nothing to the album and just felt like they were included out of obligation. Facts, Fade, Freestyle 4, and Highlights were all mediocre and probably some of his worst tracks. This was also his worst album lyrically. The only standout verse in my opinion was the Chance feature on Ultralight Beam.

Still some dope tracks though. Waves through Frank's Track is one of my favorite sequences of songs on anything he's ever done.

the way in which Pablo was released is perhaps one of the most interesting of any album ever but the album itself isn't really that outstanding; most of the tracks are just "good", not great

No More Parties In LA and Facts are absolute showstoppers, however the final version of Fade fucking sucks

Maybe because it's inconsistent as fuck. Not a bad album exactly, but it has some of his best stuff mixed in with some of his absolute worst. A lot of the production feels rushed, the ideas feel unexplored. It feels like he released it too soon. He should have spent another year working on it and perfecting it.
