For all the bad press they get here the first three Foo Fighters album are undoubtedly amazing alt-rock records

>amazing
they're alright. QotSA-lite

I think they're on par with them although SFTD is better than any FF album
>>69464215
>on par
Nah, FF doesn't even come close.
>>69464238
I think in terms of their first three LPs they do
There's a lot of gems in them that gets largely ignored due to them becoming Nickelback-tier later on
>>69464238
yeah you can't compare them. FF have made some good stuff but I wish dave grohl took them in a heavier direction
honourable mention to crooked vultures though which was great
Look, their singles can be pretty good. But the albums are a fucking drag to get through. It just feels like every song is filler.
And you're fucking crazy if you think they're on the same level as QOTSA.
I really like 'My Poor Brain'
I only ever heard it because I DL'd the first few albums just to listen to the singles (yeah I'm THAT kind of autist) and I think it's after Monkey Wrench and I forgot to stop playing it one time
Anyway I ended up listening to the whole album and it was pleasant, fairly forgettable and then familiar adolescent hype when Everlong came up. But My Poor Brain stuck with me too, what an awesome little tune

QOTSA has some amazing records but not all of them are great
Even their best records have one or two songs that feel like filler
>>69464543
Eh, I disagree. I have a hard time finding a song that's worth skipping on their albums. I'll give you Lullabies to Paralyze, though.

I usually skip Six Shooter, Another Love Song and The Sky is Fallin

Why would you skip those? You miss out on at least one or two choice radio skits.
