noel has three or four really god tier lyrics and that's one of them
>>69445540
It really is a great set of lyrics. Captures everything that is great about the band in general.

Oasis was such a great B-side band in the early years.

The only thing that separates a song like this from any of the 90s indie rock that this board creams itself over is that it's an Oasis song and this board is too self-conscious to admit liking Oasis.

my then-girlfriend and i met liam gallagher in a record store in new york around 10 years ago
he was actually really nice and friendly
It all went downhill when Bonehead left desu.

Liam is always nice to fans from what I've heard. Even when he's beating up paparazzi he stops to sign autographs for kids.

Oasis should have called it quits in 99

What happened, Anon?

>Liam is always nice to fans from what I've heard.
yeah to be honest i was a bit reluctant to walk up and talk to him.
was half-expecting him to tell me to go fuck myself or something. top lad though.

the usual, different priorities, no long-term potential and all that shit
we've remained friends though, so it's not too bad
wtf i love Oasis now
I still enjoy hearing Wonderwall on the radio in all honesty. There's a wonderful sense of purity and unyielding optimism to that song that still feels genuine and affecting.
A big part of the appeal of those early Oasis songs is knowing what shitty, dead-end lives the members of the band were living when they made them.

Yep. When I think of Oasis I think of Liam, Noel, Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan.

As you should.

yes
you get it
the gallagher brothers' sincere belief in the redeeming/protective potential of music is what gave power to their early recordings
it is some of the most impassioned rock music ever recorded
once they got rich and comfortable their music lost all drive
/mu/ likes Oasis now?
