This is really good but I think The Normal Years is better. What does /mu/ think?
OP here.. I was thinking about it a bit more. Perfect From Now On actually seems like the pleb choice when it comes to their early discography.
Also why is a drum machine used in the track Shortcut? Is it ironic? Was the drummer mia? It sounds like shit.

both are good
I don't get it, isn't The Normal Years a bunch of original recordings of songs from There's Nothing Wrong With Love mixed with covers of other songs?

yeah sounds like you actually do get it

to add, i think the production on TNY is truly awesome

>pleb choice
>their only consistently good album with strong songwriting all around
I really like the debut and mostly like TNWWL, but cmon guy. Everything else they've done pales next to PFNO.

Ok I'll concede "the pleb choice" isn't an accurate description. However, I really disagree that their other stuff is so far below PFNO. I would agree that it is more /consistent/ than TNY but I think the PFNO only has a few high points and is barely above average aside from that. TNY has lower lows and higher highs but the aspect that makes it better for me is the production/sound of the album as I mentioned here >>69395401. That being said, I think their debut is their best album.
Something about the production in this band's early work is bumping them up sooo much for me.
double bump
triple bump
>The Normal Years is better
