Let's start off fresh and clean.
Post your music, listen to others' music.

Question of the day: what was your first instrument?

Why do people constantly feel the need to make BC threads when the previous ones aren't even dead yet? Fuck off, I'm sure you just want to plug your own music at the top of the thread instead of the bottom.

My first instrument was guitar, but my pc is so lame that I can't play without latence so all I do in this project is VST shit
>>
>>69356430
yea but thats older than yo mama
>>
>>69356572
the solution to that problem is to play all guitar parts to a metronome, then edit out the latency. that's how i did my entire project

Get rid of the text and you'll have a good ep cover
>>
>>69356885
this. or write it yourself, that'll do
>>
>>69356885
font's just too big.

you need little baby font if you're gonna do that.
>>
>>69356885
>>69356096
Don't completely get rid of the text. Half the people in these threads think an album cover that is literally nothing but a literal picture is "good". Definitely don't use that typeface though, it looks pretty bad. Hand write some scratchy letters (to go with the texture of the image) or something and scan them, slap them on the bottom right of your cover where there is negative space and the album art will look 100% better. Like I said though, definitely don't make it textless
>>
>>69356777
I will try next time, but anyway I like the result of this so it's ok
>>
>>69356096
I'm loving the way the cover arts look. The surface scratches make it look like daguerreotype, and the soft lights create an amazing ambience
as >>69356885 said, get rid of the text
textless album covers might not always be the best idea, because it's just an excuse for talentless indiefags who just use a totally random photo off their phones, but in your case you should get that ugly ass text off the album cover

No one said you can only use sax in a jazz band
There's always a way to utilize an instrument you like to bring in new flavors, even if you play bedroom indie folk.

>Question of the day: what was your first instrument?
oops, didn't see that!
first instrument was guitar when i was about 4 years old. stopped playing after a month, bought an electric guitar when i was eleven thinking that because i was a literal god at guitar hero that would quickly translate over to a real guitar. it didn't and it collected dust for over three years until i decided to finally take some classes.

The 'deluxe' version of the newest album Any Gracious Heart is coming out in 2 days. I reconfigured the track listing to one I think works better as an album overall. It's not much on the surface - but the download also includes 20 bonus tracks. Which is a lot! Thanks for listening.

Is it?
I rather see it as a good opportunity for faggots like me to create an "official page" for their projects and release all their music on that platform
I'm ok with BC taking 15% because at least it's not riddled with ads and I don't get much for my music anyway.
>>
>faggots make new BC threads if they don't see the exact fucking Bandcamp logo among the OP pics in the catalog

Hey guys can you stop making new threads while the other one is still up? I don't like coming here late because I was focusing on the other one.

>i have a shitty midi keyboard but i only play little baby notes
me i just use my computer's keyboard and play around with it. honestly quite fun figuring out how to play chords by myself without looking up anything. obviously this is not going to get me anywhere but it's fun for messing around and good enough for the music i make

>>69359140
>tfw I'm not too talented in any of those and I enjoy making noise more
make what your heart desires, at least you can. my heart wants to play alto saxophone but i can't afford a sax and i've already reached a decent amount of """expertise""" in guitar. for the garbage i make i don't need expertise anyway

>>69359244
recommended

>>69359210
if you're already a pretty big artist then yes you're getting lots of money sucked off from Bandcamp/Paypal (25%!!!) and if you're on a label then there's also their cut of the money. if you just make stuff for fun and don't really get paid much then it's totally fine.
