Star is the worst song, followed by Rock 'n' Roll Suicide.

It Ain't Easy isn't earth-shattering, either in its original incarnation or in Bowie's interpretation, but dismissing it reveals a failure to understand the underlying principles of the album (and Bowie in general). It's thematically consistent, and Bowie's creepy arrangement is charming.

Star on the other hand is like a coda without a preceding piece, and Rock 'n' Roll Suicide has no real musical substance.

This album is good, it is a cool collection of songs. That's about it, IMO. Not trying to bash it, heck, I've given this album my fair share of listens and always enjoy it, but I wouldn't dare go as far as to call it the masterpiece some say it is.

Honest question: what's to good about this record? Note that I went into this album before /mu/ shilled the fuck out of it, so I had no previous expectations of it.
