Thinking about getting this

But $350 just for a fucking vocoder?

I would buy a MicoKorg S, which has a shit ton of sounds but Im not sure that you can balance between Dry/Wet vocal signal with the vocoder function like you can with this Roland, which is a deal breaker.

Can anyone answer this question? I've called Korg, Guitar Center, and Sweetwater and nobody can answer this simple yes or no question

Microkorgs sound like ass.

Get one of these and a decent synth.
>>
>why do you want to balance dry/wet of the vocoder?

because I don't want full on Daft Punk robot ass voice that you can barely understand, but a little touch of it is nice as hell

>you know you can just record the vocoded voice and then record a non vocoded voice on seperate track and balance them in the mix

thats work I'd rather not do and would require two mics live
>>
Have you considered the waves plugin? Id rather drop money on a nice synth and just get a vst. Maybe you already have a nice synth though.

I don't want to buy multiple pieces of equipment, though :/

I love the fact that both of the options I mentioned have the option to use built in speakers and battery power, and are also very portable

I dont fuck with computers when it comes to music, except for browsing /mu/

Here's a great vid of some dude using the V256 with a Prophet 08

thats some full on incomprehensible robot tho :/
and that keyboard is huge

have a more dry mic sound come through is very important, as is portability.

Honestly might just have to buy not only the VP-03, but a JP 08 too to make it fully functioning synth and then get that rack to connect them
>>
assuming it's a digital synth inside that Brady Bunch looking shit because OP is a faggot
>>
>>69342215
its ACB technology in there, modeled after, yes, shit from the "Brady Bunch" times you millenial minecraft playing cocksmoker
>>
>>69342996
at least i don't put microchips in a corny looking fake analog synth and play atari sounds
>>
>>69343515
These sound the exact same as their analog counterparts, there are countless comparison videos. And actually none of them make atari sounds
