Spiderland is just guitar noodle with shitty poetry being talked over (which gets old and repetitive btw).
It plays on a shitty gimmick that only appeals to the emotional depressed faggots of /r9k/.
And you idiots think this is comparable to Loveless or Laughing Stock?
Pathetic.....

Thanks
i had sex to this album
Nah, Spiderland is amazing because of how different each track is and the techniques both from the musicians and the producer used to create that feeling of emptiness.
Loveless is watered down noise rock for people who can't handle actually complex textures, Laughing Stock is cheesy new age music.

To Here Knows When is more sonically complex than anything in Slint's catalog
>>69338144
Yeah, but Slint's not trying to be sonically complex though. Slint does their thing by having a variety of different rhythms being played by each instrument, creating something far more complex than anything rhythmically even attempted by MBV.
Why not compare an MBV track to something it's taken inspiration from? TVU, Sonic Youth during their noise rock trilogy, Glenn Branca, etc. All far more sonically complex than anything MBV has ever done.

what is "sonically complex"
Unironically Slint > mbv&talk talk

It's all about the atmosphere man.
