ITT: Looking for more albums that have a bunch of tiny "imperfections" but still work really well.
Like fret buzzes, breathing, rhythm fuck ups, etc.

You're looking for lo-fi music anon.

Portishead, tompabeats and Avalanches are all wrong. They're tight as fuck with good mixing. Not lofi, even if some tracks are very simple.
Try bee thousand - guided by voices op
>tiny imperfections

nah but lo fi more alludes to a specific aesthetic brought on by recording techniques.
i'm talking more about instrumentation and WHAT they recorded, you get me?
Like the avalanches and portishead wouldn't fit with that, but yeah the others on that list kinda fit what im talking about.
I'll def check out Tomppabeats and Elliott Smith.

hmmm... possibly m.a.a.d city by kendrick
The singer audibly messes up and acknowledges it a few times, and there are some small rhythmic errors, but the whole album is so raw, fresh and powerful that it doesn't matter

This.
Bee Thousand as well.
But for real, my favourite album of all time is Akron/Family's self-titled, and I heard that before I ever heard The Glow Pt. 2. It's almost the same record, just far weirder, more emotional, and overall more poignant and beautiful.
Seriously, The Glow Pt. 2 is lo-fi emotionally charged freakfolk. No other band does that as well as Akron/Family.
