is hammett mentally ill? I'm not trolling. The stilted/laborious way he speaks makes watching him talk really unsettling. every thing he says in interviews sounds insanely rehearsed/cliched as if he can't put the thoughts together well enough by himself.

Actually, he's dealing with repressed anxiety, coupled with severe social awareness/connectivity issues.

that "improvisation" 1 minute in is just absolutely awful
bear in mind, this is not only a world touring guitarist but also one that was a student of Joe Satriani. And it's not just about the solo being borderline sloppy and lazy, it's also purely unmusical
