That's four phenomenally good albums. Most of his early albums were released in the first half of the sixties when albums weren't usually packed with good songs back-to-back. But in that time he managed to write dozens of memorable songs regardless. And when albums actually began to be a credible artistic statement, he stepped up to the plate with Today!, Pet Sounds, and (the attempt) at SMiLE.
