Next to maybe James Iha, Billy Corgan is one of the most arrogant and pretentious motherfuckers you will ever meet. I met him one time when I was hanging out with my older brother and his band at an alt rock festival. (I frequently helped roadie for both of my older brothers' bands when I was a teenager.) Both of those guys were pretty much dismissive assholes. That said, I own a couple of their albums in spite of all that. Fortunately, Guided By Voices and The Pixies being cool salvaged that whole experience.
