I can't into Yo La Tengo and Belle & Sebastian. It feels like pretentious low-energy crap for 30-years old infantiles. But this shit is so wide acclaimed. Am I the primitive neanderthal?
well what kind of music do you like

Just diffrent alternative rock. Guided By Voices is my favorite band. Pere Ubu, Magazine and The Stranglers are also in tops.
I have to be in a certain mood in order to listen to B&S. If I've been listening to a lot of black metal that day, they're going to seem even more melodramatic than usual and I won't be able to stand them. Yo La Tengo rocks any day of the week though.

No I get that. They are pretty low energy bands in my opinion anyways. Not very exciting.

YLT is great settling-down-at-night music.
It is fair to say that "Tiger Milk" is pretty album and "The Sounds Of..." and the SECOND half of "And Then Nothing..." are OK for

low energy band
Listened to If You're Feeling Sinister the other day. Very low energy album! Stu Murdoch should learn how to make music that won't put people to sleep. SAD!
I don't get why this album isn't more loved. It's much better than I Can Hear... in my opinion.

it's loved plenty
Tried Yo La Tengo, and I agree. It's a snoozefest
