Adam Clayton, U2 bassist
Does he have the largest success/talent deficit of all time?
i know a guy who did sound for a U2 show, and he says they barely play their instruments live

Seems like a good candidate.
LARS
ULRICH

edge and larry mullen jr are actually good/decent respectively though
>>69180324
this. just because everyone calls him a shit drummer doesn't mean it isn't true
daddy desu
>>69180324
This, except U2 has sold something like 170 million albums and Metallica has sold about 110 million.
Both Lars and Adam are equally talentless, but U2 is significantly more successful, so Adam wins.

If he's richer than Lars I'd be surprised though. Assuming you rate success by money.
If you go by album sales like you say, then sure.
>>69180324
still not as successful as U2, and not even that bad for most of his career
look up seattle 1989, that was his peak and he plays really good
No, that would be Britney Spears
>>69180381
according to google, Lars has $175 million, Adam has $150 million.
So, Lars then.
It seems to me though, they are fairly evenly matched. Lars is definitely a bigger douchebag

>not even that bad for most of his career
The only challenging song he ever drummed was Dyer's Eve, and you basically just need to get the basics of double bass down and it's a very not-difficult song.
There's countless clips of him being unable to even keep time, which regardless of whatever else you do as a drummer makes you the worst drummer possible.
"Adam Clayton is fine"
>>69180381
I thought the one reason Bono wasn't a cunt was that U2 always split profits between the four equally?
desu my mum just told me that so maybe not true
>>69180421
I'd just assume the U2 bassist can keep time.
Lars can't. Which is a big factor for me, at least.
>>69180452
this
plus Clayton has a pretty good sound desu, but that has a lot to do with sound engineers and such

>>69180473
it has everything to do with engineers, of which U2 uses fucking god tier ones all the time
his actual playing is nothing, though it does serve a good musical purpose
>>69180495
God tier.
The GH clips are the best man. It's not even that hard.

That's painful to watch.
