ITT: rap/rappers who display considerable intelligence through lyrics, as opposed to the typical superficial crap on radio. (I get that there is subjectivity here, but be realistic)
For example, Ludicris parodying 'veni, vidi, vici' in Get Back, or Metaphor The Great (did a lot of music for The Boondocks) who constantly uses puns, similes and metaphors in his music. This. A lot of people get caught up with the controversy and misogynistic lyrics of some songs and disregard the meaning.

Murs (even tho nobody knows about 9th), Pusha T (even if he's a corporate whore), RZA, Aesop Rock (even if he's a total nerd), Killer Mike, Kendrick (even if he hangs out with a self-righteous idiot like J. Cole), Vinnie Paz (even if he is an edgy prison-gay homophobe), and, of course, Slick Rick. And Del, but he's super burnt out now nowadays I think.
