>>69163570

>>69163111
>what plebs say
>>69163820
Slint is patrician, Fugazi is normie, Drive Like Jehu is Pleb screamo-tryhard-tier.
>>69163889
>tryhard in music is bad
>punk vocals are screamo
Stop baiting
>>69162522
punk rock for unimaginative stemfaggotbetas
>>69162522
Aloha, Aloha, Suit UP! Luau, Luau, Luau, sounds like bullshit that Sublime fans would like.
>>69162522
Can someone tell me what is so special about this album?
>some idiots complain this album isn't memed enough
>now it's a meme and this is how it looks
I hope you fuckers are happy now. Fuck you so much, I used to like seeing this album posted.
>>69162547
Not even bait.
>>69165263
your dad was listening to it while he conceived you. your mom had her headphones on and was listening to some fag R&B shit.
>>69166043
That doesn't tell me anything about the music.
>>69165287
oh poor you, taking away a cut of Grimes and DGs memespace.
this album isn't secret and special and Patrician anymore.
more people might go out to see them live now. they might actually make some money being in a band. OH NO!!!
>>69166100
Some albums take 1 listen to get and some take 4 or more or even more. This is a four or more. The length of the album doesn't help. Just play some vidya with it on in the background.
Other than that, wonderful production, sounds like it could come out today. Weird time signatures. Cool song structures. Interesting chords not standard indie or punk. Witty artsy lyrics.
Spiderland sounds like a product of its time. The album is a more interesting version of Leaves Turn Inside You.
Fugazi and ATDI say they're one of their favorite bands. If you don't like Posthardcore/Mathrock to begin with, its probably not for you. Every song with the exception of New Intro is an 8 or higher and so on.

these reviewers will articulate it better.

>>69165287
this shit will never be a meme, brah, its too Patrician. its too weird even for the Death Grips kids.
I think the dude who's been posting this lately is a shitposter.
>>69162522
Oh wait, I get it now. It's suppossed to sound like a piece of shit; an equivalent to getting raped by a crocodile; an equivalent of eating 20 knifes at once while you see your wife fornicating with an african american; an absolute abomination and degeneracy that makes Bruce Jenner seem like a happy aryan family. Now that I can get past misunderstanding, I can finally appreciate the genius of this album.
>>69164379
Pretty accurate actually. And I like the band.
>>69165287
Some guy posting it once a day does not equal a meme.
>>69166280
The production's great for sure. No one can ever take that from the album. But the flow of one track to the next coupled with the nonsense lyrics does the amazing instrumentals no favors. It makes Fake Train look like a goddamn lyrical masterpiece (not that that album isn't great). The album really loses a LOT of traction during Luau, New Intro, and New Math. It sounds like it could've been different EPs that were unfortunately smushed together. No cohesiveness.
>>69167077
>complaining about cohesiveness on a punk rock record
wew lad.
Also, check out their self titled.
>>69167103
It's what I look for in albums. Some do it better than others, Yank Crime does it pretty bad but otherwise not everyone looks for that and that's okay. I just don't think it's anything special due to the faults I mentioned. I think I'd rate it much higher if it went for early Boredoms style vocals where there isn't a lot of real words, but mostly a spectrum of shouts and cries. I'll check out their self-titled sometime.
>>69162522
Personally, I liked Hot Snakes more.
