Is a new System of a Down album becoming the Chinese Democracy of the 2010s?

I don't even want one anymore. They waited too long now they're too far past their prime to ever release a good record again. Harakiri was very good though.

Also: a new A Perfect Circle-album more the like

What mostly worries me about the new album is Serj. He takes himself too seriously now and his voice is starting to sound too nasally and annoying to sing his old songs. He sounds pathetic in his recent live shows.

People have been expecting a new tool for years now
You can't really say the same for SOAD
>>69159821
I like SOAD, but I think that title goes to Tool. I watched an interview with Danny Carey on Youtube a couple days ago and in it he talks about how the band is making great progress in the studio and well the creative process is doing. Then I check the date and it's from fucking 2012.

At this point it's probably gonna royally suck, or it will just be ok.

nah they've been broken up for a while in between. it's gonna be like the new american football isn't it? no one really asked for it, mellowed out thus boring, listenable but compared to anything else they did nah
