I didn't love all the Motown samples desu but there were still a lot of really good catchy tracks.

It's all in the sequencing, the juxtapositions, the flow of the album. Take for example the Stevie Wonder sample in The Twister - taken on its own it'd make little impact, but it becomes otherworldly in the context of what precedes and follows it. The album ends up covering a very wide emotional spectrum with moments like these
