I'd like to preface this by saying that I don't listen to much indie rock at all so I guess this is an "outside" perspective.

Nice and atmospheric, the vocals and piano add variety to the sound and I like when the jam stops and then restarts periodically. Can't really hear the lyrics very well but I suppose that's fine / sorta the norm in this genre? Would groove to drunk in someone's basement.

I've been working on mixing and effects a lot lately as I've come to the realization that no one's going to do it for me.

What specifically do you mean by "mix the vocals intro the music a bit more"? Would that entail EQing the vocals and track to sit at separate frequencies or quite the opposite? This track is EQed already, but by a novice.
