She was definitely one of the most influential pop singers. Every talent show on TV features at least a couple of people that perform her covers of have a have a voice that's in some realm of hers. Listen to Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan for example. They were both jazz singers and had unique voices. Then take Aretha Franklin for example. She's even more influential than Adele, meaning that most modern singer-songwiters have a voice in some realm of Adele's, with a black woman soul, jazz influence too.

The part that everyone is doing it is what makes her and similar young singer-songwiters sound like something you've already heard a million times before. i'd watch her play live but so far i dont think i'd listen to her album more than once or twice. i like 5-6 piece bands with a very full sound. unless it's a 10/10 folk singer like gordon lightfoot, john denver, bob dylan, etc, one person with a guitar doesnt really do it for me
