Same here.
I just cannot listen to any modern pop music, modern pop rock or punk.
Tried pop rock bands like the strokes, arctic monkeys, tame impala, smashing pumpkins and my god they are just so fucking bland and boring.

Here I just find that the music today sounds just like my dadrock tier 90s music.

Same. I feel that between 2010 - end of 2015 there was a surge in creativity and different niche genre's, but 2016 has kind of fallen flat.

I'm sure it's just me though and I'm not searching hard enough for new shit like I used to.
