Story about the Prodigy:
This man is an Australian farmer named Ross Knight. Every month, he receives a check of around $30. It's his royalties from sales of The Fat of The Land.
He plays bass and sings in a band called Cosmic Psychos. They've never had any big success, but they were very influential in the Seattle grunge scene in the 90s.
In 1989, they released this song:

If you're interested in how the band sounds, this is basically it. Click through the Youtube suggestions if you want more.
Later, the songwriter from L7 wrote a song called Fuel My Fire

She was humming and messing around with the tune, when her bandmate chimed in: singin Cosmic Psychos? The writer suddenly realised she had accidentally pinched the chorsu of the Psychos' song. L7 and the Psychos were friends, so she contacted Ross and asked if it was okay for her to use the song. He said it was fine, and got a writing credit on the song.
Later, the Prodigy covered Fuel My Fire on Fat of The Land.

Thusly, royalties go to L7, then to Knighty. For a while, he received calls form people asking him about how he'd written a song for the Prodigy, but he didn't know what they were on about.
