What does /mu/ think of The Fall? What are their best albums?

Great band. Their first few albums are especially fantastic. I love Mark's witty, strange, yet somewhat sophisticated lyrics. The rhythms are great jams too. My favorites are Grotesque, Hex Education Hour, and Preverted By Language.

1980-85 was pretty much peak Fall. My personal favourite of the lot was Perverted By Language, but listen to Grotesque and The Wonderful and Frightening World Of too

All of the usual suspects but I would add Country on the Click. Great album.

Hex Enduction Hour and Perverted By Language are their best album, one for each face The Fall has: charismatic, hard hitting anthems, and experimental, weird ass art punk.
