What are some Cyberpunk artists/groups?
So far I've got
>Death Grips
>Aphex Twin
>Venetian Snares
>Squarepusher
>ilkae
Who else is Cyberpunk?
P.S.
No fucking Neo-80s trash like Kavinsky or Perturbator or Danger (Danger is alright though)
Neo-80s/faux-80s is not fucking Cyberpunk
It's childish garbage
Describe what you exactly mean. Why are Venetian Snares or Aphex cyberpunk? Or even Death Grips?

It's just angry techno
Ghengis Tron did this like 10 years ago.

okay, but you mean breakbeat and not techno.
Techno is strictly 4-to-the-floor.
>>68962890
>low key futuristic
>doesn't rely solely on the fact that it's electronic, makes use of electronics to expand old concepts and make something new
>death grips specifically expresses a lot of views about current society that fit right into cyberpunk concepts and ideologies. Some of the songs even paint very cyberpunk-Esque images
It's about the aesthetic, and the feelings conveyed
Venetian snares, the unorganized brutality and chaos of a cyberpunk world, with patterns you can find in that chaos
Aphex Twin a great example of the utilization of technology to push forward in genres/art forms
Whereas neo80s trash is literally just people taking old 80s patterns and using slightly newer tech to express those sounds. I understand that it's enjoyable and I like some of it, but it's definitely not Cyberpunk in essence. Some people seem to think it is just because MUH TECHNOLOGY, but they're not really thinking about it when they say that.

okay, hmm, but in the case of aphex twin your explanation is kind of far-tetched, because it's just a vague interpretation and applying of those to his works on a meta level. Would agree on death grips though, very close to cyberpunk, whatever that actually means.
the quintessential cyberpunk group

For that vintage cyberpunk feeling, ambient techno, dub techno and outsider techno are good bets. Also, some of Lee Scratch Perry's stuff give me the feel of being in a Zion spaceship, sort of like in Neuromancer.
Indutrial techno, aggrotech, cybergrind and industrial in general can be feel very cyberpunkish.
There's also this noise-rock band called Pop. 1280 that has a lot of cyberpunk imagery and themes. They're pretty good and underdiscussed on this board, you should check them out.
Also, 90's-10's industrial rock may qualify.
Julian & The Voidz's Tyranny gives me some cyberpunk vibes too.

You're right, I am reaching on Aphex twin

definitely this
also Brainiac https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aScniMlMqzY
Sonic Youth have a song called The Sprawl and the album Sister is inspired by Philip K. Dick.
Kuedo sampled Blade Runner and is going for the aesthetic.
Maybe consider Electro Funk?
Newcleus - Push the Button
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OJd22xoSTNM
Dynamik Bass System - Don't Stop Compute
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h_M_TgMrfOM
For something way off into the more extreme.
NOISM - YESISM
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DQxXHaxf1k8
I don't know what genre Noism would be, I wouldn't say cybergrind.

Lol wtf is cyberpunk? I think you meant steampunk. Steam Powered Giraffe is ace
>>68966049
You have to be 18 to post here.
What a shitty OP.
If you think synthwave doesn't fit the cyberpunk aesthetics, you're simply dumb.
Also, stop saying things like "you have to be 18 to post here" and "mu-core" as insults, that makes you seem like a newfag (that you probably are).
Outside synthwave there is Microphyst, Late Of The Pier, Trust, Laurel Halo, Tangerine Dream and maybe Underworld that i can remember.
>>68962996
this band were so good will they eve rretyurn who knows
>>68962838
Neurofunk is pretty cyberpunk imo, - mefjus, audio, neonlight, receptor, gridlok, current value. Also if you like aphex you should check out richard devine, he's pretty cyberpunk
>>68966038
Holy shit you are one insufferable cunt.
I've found several experimental electronic, techno and minimal synth releases that would suit your tastes but I'm going to intentionally not tell you because you've been a cunt ITT, OP.
Not going to spoonfeed an insufferable cunt.
