What are some good albums from 2015 and 2016? I couldn't do those years because I honestly didn't like much of what I heard from them. I'm also just a mid-2000's kind of guy so I wanted to do '05 and '06.

Yeah they've both been pretty underwhelming, but between OPN, Autechre, Swans, and Nicolas Jaar I've been quite satisfied personally. The last couple of years have been great for hip hop as well from what I hear, though I'm not a fan of the genre

definitely some close calls... and i don't think i have a 3rd favorite for 2016. the avalanches' "wildflower" and woods' "city sun eater in the river of light" are close. i've heard a lot of good this year, but not much great (maybe i'm missing something, though).
also i elected not to put eps on my list. there would probably be a few small differences if i did.

ag cook's mix is something that i both love and dislike. i gave it a 3/5 just because there's so many weird choices and a few actual really bad songs that just interrupt the flow of the whole thing.

It definetly has its negatives but I love how "thick" it sounds. Although i'd recommend listening to some of the live versions, which are miles better.
