Maus > AP. And Grimes > both.
John Maus was fucking fantastic live.
Contrarian is when you don't know either?
Does JM ever perform in Europe?

R. Stevie Moore>>>both of them

Maus is okay but not interesting or great enough that I want to listen to him ever really. More of a gimmick.
Whereas Ariel's music is actually deeply emotionally meaningful for me, especially the earlier albums, but the newer ones too. Some of the songs are achingly beautiful and almost kind of painful (but sort of good painful) to listen to now.

I've listen to both over 5,000 times
my brain connects more to john maus atm
its fine u think ariel is a emotionally connection for u. I used to feel the same

Might go back and listen to Maus again some.
I got into Ariel pretty early (when Paw Tracks first started releasing the stuff), while living in SoCal myself and spending a lot of time around LA, during some really sad times, so it just resonated so much. As I said, it almost hurts to listen to now, and the sadness is really there in the music. But sadness affords a really beautiful quality in music.

thats probably a good reason why I don't really connect to ariel anymore. don't wanna feel "sad"
dayzed inn daydreams the remake on pom pom was soul crushing for me.

Hey was the original version only on Oddities Sodomies? There is a vague version there without sung verses, but I thought I remember a more fleshed out earl version somewhere, possibly under a different title?
