Jason Molina's later stuff (though the earlier stuff is a bit downer too). Mind you, I've been in and out of psychologist and psychiatrist's offices since someone very important to me died when I was 7 on Valentine's Day, and have generally been diagnosed and rediagnosed with what has become chronic depression every couple of years in that decade and a little over a half (in short: I'm not the fake depressed OP is talking about).

Feelsbadman.jpg-large, but Molina's music hits me in a way no one else ever manages, and keeps me sticking around through failed relationships, failed friendships and general dread.

Guy who posted Didn't It Rain here, I feel the same way a lot. I still force myself to, even if it's just one song I'm really connecting with over and over. If nothing else, it's background noise when I get especially down (like in the last two weeks; was doing great for about five months then it all came back sadly) and it's something else to focus on.

I think that's how it works, you just wanna forget all that shit in your head and fall sleep deep so I drunked as much as I could and went to sleep just to wake up 20 hours latter with my parents telling me the story of how they took me to the hospital for vomiting all my bed and guitar and being totally irresponsive. So they carried me to the car with the help of a neighbour. In the hospital my sister said the nurse asked if I were "special", i took some serum for some hours, the people in the hospital are used to this kind of ocurrence that time in the year, it lets people down for some reason. I woke up in my bed feeling weird but clueless, I still don't remenber what happenned, I used to think that was an excuse the drunk make to get a pass for their last night mistakes.

This album isn't even that sad though. I was expecting soul-crushing, suicidal lyrics, but no, it was just a little depressing.

Very good anyway. Nick was an incredibly sensitive soul. RIP
