Description:
Eric Taxxon's new album Copy is equivocal to the creation of Frankenstein. A creation made of bits and pieces of other former creations, used to create a deliberate feeling of intrigue, interest, and even in some cases, horror. Copy is that Frankenstein, in which pieces are constructed, produced, and heavily edited in mere audacity files, in order to create one massive being all together.
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And Eric give some love. Thank You. :)

How did you manage make it sound this good?
>>68840633
thanks dude, just loads of quiet tracks stacked on top of each other which don't overload the mic
>>68839261
Now THIS is a load of fun. Some obvious influences are Guided by Voices, Ariel Pink, and the like. I also think of the album "Cut Me Down and Count My Rings" by Half Handed Cloud. There is absolutely nothing wrong here with the timbre or the lyrics. But I think you need to work on your melodies. Make them shine. And try singing more clearly.
>>68839299
Nice and moody track from established contender AP Macroeconomics. Strange sounds throughout. Good job.
>>68839916
This is also darn good. There's a lot of good stuff in this thread. Usually when I give feedback I end up criticizing everyone a lot but this stuff is cool. My only real critique is that you ought to try as hard as possible to avoid the nasal tone that plagues all of us young white boys in their singing.

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback (Mt. Salad) and I'm glad you enjoyed. It was a ton of fun to make. I agree with the melodies point, it's my first album where I really had to write/sing vocal melodies so I'm learning.
Also good ear - Alien Lanes was basically on nonstop rotation while this was made. Although I actually haven't checked out Ariel Pink yet

>>68845131
vocals are super cringey, music is generally cheesy. if i was in this band i could only be proud of the drums if they are live but they are too perfect.
>>68845131
Respectable ambition but really doesn't sound good enough to actually listen to. That craft's gotta be honed and then the product's gotta be polished.
>>68845059
There really isn't a whole lot to say about a 1:10 track like this. I don't mean to sound rude, but it's very forgettable. Nothing about this differentiates you. I don't know what your plans are, but I would work on songs that use more ideas and feature progression in their composition.
So this isn't bad. It's just something that really doesn't stand out to me at all.

Forgot to promote the BC so the numbers have been garbage lately. If you listen via Spotify/Apple music it's on there too. I put it through the free aggregator and it turns out I have to generate $50 in streaming revenue to get any of the money I've made, so I guess I'll see it in five years. It seemed smarter to use the free one and have to wait rather than actively paying for nobody to give a shit ya feel?

(talking about the Minds album)
Some tracks are boring. Some tracks are decent. Some tracks are really fucking good.
But the problem with most is the production. Clipping audio, it might be really damn unpleasant while not even overwhelming. Reminds me of myself. I still struggle with making music sound not completely shit.
A-any EDM?
>>68851012
Thanks anon, I really appreciate the feedback, although I was going for a lo-fi + wall of reverb sound. Anyways, could you please tell me which tracks you liked the most and hated the most? I'm currently working in more ambient based stuff, but I would like to take back some elements from the album (not the vocals though, don't worry)
By the way, thanks for the support, to whoever who bought the album. It means a lot. Feel free to ask me for free codes, or for anything, if you want to.

jk this is actually good. The drums sound incredibly bulky, the vocals are pleasant, the synth and the guitars blend into each other and form a really sweet soundscape. The band is together that's for sure
