This may come as a surprise to you, but the effects on loveless specifically its signature sound like on only shallow don't come from effects pedals

its actually just the guitar being played while excessively using the tremolo arm or "whammy bar" to create the vibrato sound

there are barely if any effects pedals on the entire album, its mostly distortion/overdrive plus the whammy bar a lot, thats it
